Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational setting from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027. You'll be working with a manageable caseload of up to 10 students, aided by dedicated paraprofessionals and an intervener, ensuring each child receives the individualized attention they deserve. This role calls for an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) teacher, ideally possessing a Tier 2 license and a demonstrated passion for fostering growth and success in exceptional learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Active special education license (must hold current PELSB/MDE credentialsrequired upon submission)
• Experience in or enthusiasm for serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Tier 2 licensure in special education (strongly preferred)
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and instruction to meet individual student needs
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, especially in multidisciplinary teams

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Developing and implementing IEPs tailored to students unique strengths and challenges
• Collaborating daily with paraprofessionals, interventional staff, and classroom teachers to ensure continuity of support
• Utilizing evidence-based strategies to foster communication, social skills, and academic achievement
• Engaging in ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to adapt instructional approaches
• Maintaining detailed documentation and fostering positive relationships with families
