Two long-term substitute roles are available: one for middle grades and another for PreK-5, both likely extending through the end of the school year and starting as soon as possible. Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid state licensure or certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to create and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deep understanding and application of trauma-informed practices in the classroom
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administration

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction, accommodation, and behavioral support to students with diverse needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in coordination with school staff and caregivers
• Employ trauma-informed interventions to support emotional and academic growth
• Engage in ongoing progress monitoring, assessments, and data-driven instructional adjustments
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and well-being
• Communicate regularly with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Fulfill all documentation and compliance duties as required by state and federal guidelines
