This contract role is dedicated to serving learners in a supportive high school environment, starting August 11th and continuing through May 21st. Located near Englewood, CO, this position offers the unique opportunity to engage meaningfully with students and collaborate within a dedicated educational community.

Ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of instructional practices, adaptive strategies, and specialized instruction for students following alternative standards. Youll play a pivotal role in fostering student growth while collaborating closely with fellow professionals to craft and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Qualifications:

• Valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21); proof required if newly applied.
• Professional Teacher License with the correct endorsementsubstitute, temporary, or interim licenses are not eligible.
• In-depth familiarity with special designed instruction and extensive knowledge of the IEP process.
• Strong collaborative skills as a team member on the IEP team.
• Commitment to full-time, onsite engagementVOCO or hybrid opportunities are not available.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement impactful instructional plans using evidence-based practices tailored to individual student needs.
• Lead classroom environments focused on differentiated support for students with special needs.
• Manage and document progress on IEPs, ensuring compliance and proactive collaboration.
• Effectively communicate and partner with families, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Foster a supportive learning atmosphere that encourages student independence and self-advocacy.
