Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Arizona teaching license in Mild/Moderate or Cross-Categorical Special Education
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher is highly valued
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor effective IEPs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive educational experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support a caseload of 20-25 students with individualized instruction in a resource setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Assess students needs and progress, adapting strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and IEP compliance
- Create an encouraging, structured classroom atmosphere for learning
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
