Job Description

Make an impact by supporting students unique learning journeys as an Inclusion Specialist in a dynamic school environment near Glendale, CA. This rewarding contract position is designed for dedicated Special Education Teachers seeking meaningful work with a flexible, approximately 30-hour-per-week schedule.

This is an itinerant role, providing both structured and individualized educational assistance to a small caseload. Your expertise will foster academic and social growth for students in grades K-10. Youll collaborate with general education teachers and student support teams to help implement curriculum modifications and deliver targeted 1:1 support, ensuring each students success.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching credential
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in inclusive settings
• Strong ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet students individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Experience providing direct 1:1 and small group support
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with Welligent documentation system is a significant plus
• Understanding of SELPA guidelines and best practices

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and academic support to 2 students in a K-8 downtown setting and 4 students in high school and elementary grades (9th, 10th, 8th, 4th)
• Implement and adapt curricular strategies and interventions
• Provide 1:1 assistance for students needing extra academic or behavioral support
• Document student progress and support plans
• Collaborate with staff to develop goals and support inclusion
• Travel between school sites as required
