Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students growth in an inclusive school environment. A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed for the upcoming academic year, working with either elementary or high school caseloads. The position encompasses both Inclusion and Life Skills settings, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact with a group of engaged learners.
This assignment is set to begin August 12th, 2026, and continue through May 27th, 2027. You will work approximately 35 to 37.5 hours per week across five days. The role offers an hourly rate of $40, with weekly pay to ensure youre compensated promptly and consistently.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience in Inclusion or Life Skills settings preferred
- Skillful in adapting curriculum and instructional techniques for diverse learners
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families
- Organized, compassionate, and resourceful
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction for students with varying needs on your caseload
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Track, assess, and report student progress toward educational goals
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment tailored to students abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for seamless student support
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development
