What were looking for:

• Two or more years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, with PreK experience strongly preferred
• Valid NY State Certification in Special Education or a current New York State Certification Level 3 Teacher Assistant
• Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to helping all children reach their unique potential

What youll do:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop creative lessons that support academic growth and social-emotional development
• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Maintain clear records of progress, attendance, and communication with parents
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff planning, and professional development
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and positive classroom environment
