Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with primary age students (elementary level)
• Thorough understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong instructional, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfort collaborating with teachers, families, and support personnel
• Ability to adapt strategies to suit each childs unique learning needs
• Commitment to supporting a nurturing, equitable education environment

Your Responsibilities:

• Instruct students with a range of learning needs using evidence-based practices
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students strengths and areas for growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Track, assess, and report on student progress toward goals
• Facilitate small group and individualized instruction
• Create a supportive classroom climate that encourages participation and celebrates diversity
• Help drive school-wide inclusion and positive behavioral support practices
