Job Description

Make a difference supporting students as an Inclusion Specialist, working in an itinerant capacity with a diverse group of learners. This contract role offers approximately 30 hours per week and involves serving students across multiple grade levels, including K-8 and high school. Youll bring expertise in special education, delivering direct support and implementing curriculum modifications to foster student growth and academic success.

In this rewarding position, you'll travel between a downtown school setting and other sites to work with two elementary students and four students split between high school, elementary, and middle grades. The role centers on supporting inclusion practices, offering one-on-one assistance where needed, and collaborating closely with educators to ensure accommodations through the LAUSD SELPA guidelines. Prior experience utilizing Welligent for documentation and progress monitoring is a significant advantage.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential and relevant state certification
• Experience working in K-12 educational environments supporting diverse learners
• Demonstrated skill in curriculum modification and differentiated instruction
• Ability to provide 1:1 and small group interventions
• Familiarity with IEP implementation and compliance under SELPA
• Proficiency with digital IEP management systemsexperience with Welligent is highly desired
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Positive, adaptive, and solution-oriented mindset

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized support to assigned students in both elementary and high school environments
• Collaborate with general and special education teams to implement curriculum modifications
• Provide direct, personalized instruction and behavioral support as needed
