In this contract opportunity, play a critical role supporting a 6th-grade homebound student through remote special education services. Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students, preferably at the 6th-grade level
- Knowledge and understanding of IEPs and progress monitoring
- Comfortable with providing instruction and support in a fully remote/virtual format
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills with parents, school staff, and students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality virtual instruction tailored to a homebound 6th-grade students IEP goals
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to suit the individual learning styles and needs of the student
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and communication with all stakeholders
- Collaborate remotely with school personnel, related service providers, and family members to ensure coordinated support and services
- Employ technology and digital tools to create an engaging and supportive remote classroom environment
- Be available for scheduled sessions, adapting to the needs of the homebound learner
