Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License, Tier 3 or Tier 4 required
• Demonstrated experience working with students exhibiting high behavioral needs and significant disabilities
• Strong background in creating, implementing, and tracking Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
• Capacity for problem-solving and remaining calm in crisis or escalated situations
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a Setting 4 caseload, providing direct instruction and intervention tailored to each student
• Collaborate closely with support staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Develop and adapt lesson plans that promote engagement, skill-building, and positive behavioral outcomes
• Regularly assess student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and document all teaching and behavioral interventions
• Foster strong relationships with families to encourage consistent support and communication
• Implement district and school policies regarding safety, learning standards, and student support

This contract position offers a full-time Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours weekly, giving you the consistency to form impactful connections with students and colleagues.
