Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- CI (Cognitive Impairment) endorsement required
- Experience working with students in a special education setting preferred
- Ability to collaborate with fellow staff, families, and other professionals
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support for students with cognitive impairments in a full-time classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Collect and analyze student progress data, adjusting strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administration
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
