Bring your passion and expertise to a rewarding contract position supporting 5th grade students as a special education teacher. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join an elementary educational setting near Meredith, NH for the fall semester. The assignment runs from late August through December break, providing direct services for a group of approximately 12 students requiring support in reading, math, and executive functioning skills.

Youll be part of a collaborative educational environment, working closely with the regular education team to help students achieve their individual goals. Instruction is predominantly small group-based, allowing you to build strong relationships and offer targeted interventions that make a real difference. School hours are 7:55 AM3:25 PM, with service provision occurring between 8:30 AM and 2:45 PM.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification is required.
• Previous experience working with elementary students, especially in 5th grade, is preferred.
• Comfortable providing instruction in reading, math, and executive functioning.
• Skilled at collaborating with general education teachers and adapting materials for diverse learners.
• Proficient in managing small groups and delivering individualized instruction.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to students with learning needs in small group settings.
• Collaborate regularly with the grade-level teaching team to coordinate instruction and ensure student success.
• Adapt curriculum and lesson plans to meet IEP goals for each student.
• Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where each student feels valued and supported.
