Job Description

Make an impact as a contract Special Education Teacher supporting students in a high-functioning life skills classroom. This full-time opportunity begins the week of October 16, 2026, and continues through January 15, 2027. You'll be working in an engaging onsite setting, collaborating with a dedicated team to provide continuity of care for students while covering a maternity leave.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to approximately eight students with diverse learning needs
• Design and implement lesson plans tailored to student IEP goals
• Supervise and collaborate with three classroom teaching assistants to maintain a supportive, inclusive environment
• Track student progress, complete documentation, and communicate regularly with families and staff
• Foster a positive classroom culture focused on growth, independence, and achievement

Ideal candidates will have:

• An active Special Education Educator Certificate
• Experience working in special education, preferably with life skills or high-functioning needs
• Strong classroom management abilities and familiarity with individualized education programs
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to commit to the full contract term: October 16, 2026 January 15, 2027
