Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification in Alabama
• Appropriate credentials and clear background check
• Experience with K-12 students in a special education setting preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to varying student needs
• Commitment to individualized instruction and collaborative engagement with staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
• Deliver instruction within a resource, inclusion, or self-contained setting as appropriate
• Assess students skills and learning requirements, and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
• Foster a supportive and well-managed classroom environment that encourages student participation and progress
• Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student performance and updates
• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices
