In this role, you will have a set schedule with two sessions Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: the morning runs from 7:45 to 11:00, and the afternoon from 11:00 to 3:00. Wednesday is set aside for planning, ensuring you have the support and preparation time you need. The classroom currently serves a small group of students in both sessions, supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals as student numbers grow throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching credential for Special Education
- Experience working with diverse learner populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction for AM and PM special education sessions
- Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and evaluation teams
- Participate actively in planning, assessment, and IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
