Looking for a unique opportunity to impact students and support families in a virtual environment? This K-8 Special Education Case Manager position offers the chance to work from anywhere while making a difference for students in an innovative home school-based online program.

In this contract position, youll play a vital role in a growing virtual Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) program. With a dynamic caseloadcurrently about 25 students with IEPs, and the potential for more as enrollment increasesyou will collaborate closely with families, provide direct support to a full-time case manager, and help guide students in achieving their IEP goals. The students have diverse needs, including Speech, Health Impairment, and Learning Disabilities.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification is required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in virtual or remote settings preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable coordinating virtually with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to flexibly schedule meetings and instruction as needed during school hours, Monday through Friday
• Knowledge of IEP development and compliance processes

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a virtual case manager for students with IEPs in grades K-8
• Coordinate closely with the full-time case manager to support ongoing student needs and IEP goals
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing guidance and support as necessary
• Provide occasional direct student instruction in accordance with students IEPs
• Manage documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements
