An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to make a lasting impact in an inclusive, supportive elementary school environment near Saint Paul, MN. In this contract role, youll work with a manageable caseload of up to 10 students, supported by skilled paraprofessionals and an intervener, ensuring each child receives the individualized attention they deserve. The academic year assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering a rewarding experience from start to finish. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Special Education license required (must hold either PELSB or MDE credentials)
• Preference given to teachers with experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) populations; Tier 2 licensure strongly desired
• Proven ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and intervention specialists
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
• Previous experience in elementary settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students, designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with supporting staff, including paraprofessionals and interveners, to ensure high levels of student engagement and success
• Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet unique learning needs
• Establish strong partnerships with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Create a positive, structured classroom climate that prioritizes student growth, respect, and safety
