Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Arizona Mild/Moderate or Cross-Categorical (Cross-Cat) Special Education teaching licensure
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings
• Understanding of resource teaching models and commitment to inclusive education
• Ability to coordinate and manage a caseload of 20-25 students effectively
• Strong skills in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration with general education teachers, staff, and families
• Adaptable and proactive with classroom management and organizational expertise

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction and interventions to students assigned to the resource program
• Assess student progress, maintain comprehensive records, and adjust instructional plans as needed
• Collaborate with faculty and families to promote the best outcomes for all learners
• Foster a positive, productive learning environment that values diversity and individual strengths
• Comply with all regulatory and reporting requirements related to special education services
• Utilize effective strategies to encourage student engagement and independence

Position Details:

• Caseload of 20-25 students
• Contract role following campus hours: 7:45-2:45 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 7:45-12:45 on Thursdays
