Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 20262027 school year in Tukwila, WA. This full-time opportunity is supporting an LRC1 (Learning Resource Center) program at the elementary level, providing specialized instruction and support to students while collaborating with the educational team.
Work Schedule:
37.5 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP
Contract through June 17, 2027
Qualifications:
Valid Washington State Special Education Teaching Certificate required
Experience in a resource, inclusion, LRC, or mild/moderate special education setting preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Ability to provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Washington State standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide targeted academic and behavioral support
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, related service providers, and administrators
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
