Make a meaningful difference in the lives of high school students by supporting learners in grades 912 as a Special Education Teacher. This contract position offers the opportunity to use your expertise in a dynamic environment, working with a caseload of up to 28 students. The assignment begins immediately and extends through June 2027, providing the chance for long-term impact and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Recent experience in California special education settings
- Valid Mild/Moderate California Special Education teaching credential
- Proven ability to adapt instruction and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans in accordance with state guidelines
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families
- Conduct assessments, maintain progress records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Utilize technology and evidence-based strategies to enhance student learning
- Support students social, emotional, and academic growth
