Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Alabama Special Education Teaching certification required for interview consideration
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Positive, flexible attitude and a passion for student-centered teaching
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans according to students needs
- Assess students progress and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and IEP compliance
- Implement behavioral interventions as needed
