Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This full-time opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference with a first and second grade caseload.

Your expertise will play a key role in fostering growth and inclusion within a vibrant school environment. This position covers 32.5 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing a steady and engaging schedule.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience with elementary (K-2) students, specifically first and second grade preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to tailor instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Adaptable and responsive to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students in first and second grade
• Administer and modify lesson plans in accordance with each students IEP
• Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers
• Track student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Assist with behavioral strategies and classroom accommodations as needed
