Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as an itinerant specialist providing direct and consultative services to those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This contract opportunity supports students from preschool through adult transition, ensuring they have the tools and access they need to thrive academically and beyond. Starting this October for a maternity leave opening, you'll play an essential role either onsite or virtually, according to your strengths and location.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Valid teaching credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or eligibility for certification
• Prior experience serving DHH students from preschool to transition age
• Proficiency in providing both direct instruction and consultative support
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educational teams and families
• Comfort with technology for virtual service delivery (if remote)
• Flexibility to travel between sites for in-person support (if onsite)

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized educational services to DHH students in varied settings
• Consult with general education teachers to support accommodations and modifications
• Coordinate with families and IEP teams to create and implement student-centered goals
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Provide resources and training to school staff and family members
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulations
