Qualifications and Experience:

• Current teaching certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement or eligibility
• Experience working with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school settings
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other visual communication methods
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adaptability and creativity to support various student learning styles

What Youll Do:

• Provide direct instruction and academic support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet individual needs
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive learning environment
• Advocate for student needs and facilitate access to educational materials and communication
• Participate in the development and review of IEPs
• Use assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Create an inclusive, encouraging environment for students to develop both academically and personally
