Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. Multiple openings are available for passionate educators ready to make a meaningful difference as itinerant teachers, traveling between school siteswith mileage conveniently reimbursable.
You'll work a full-time 40-hour workweek, providing vital instruction, advocacy, and guidance to students with hearing loss. Daily responsibilities span direct student teaching, lesson planning, conducting evaluations, and writing and implementing IEPs to foster an inclusive learning environment that empowers every learner.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- Valid Arizona Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing License
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Solid foundation in direct instruction and lesson preparation for DHH students
- Experience with evaluation and IEP development
- Ability to work collaboratively and travel to various school settings
