Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in the Phoenix area! Multiple contract openings are available for dedicated educators experienced in supporting K-12 students across various school sites. In this rewarding itinerant role, youll be traveling between schools to provide expert instruction and supportmileage between sites is reimbursable. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Arizona license for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching required
  • Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
  • Previous experience teaching K-12 students with hearing differences preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations within the region

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing loss, adapting lessons to individual needs
  • Prepare and implement daily lesson plans in accordance with curriculum standards
  • Perform evaluations and ongoing progress monitoring
  • Write, review, and carry out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with other educators, related service providers, and families
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting in compliance with school and legal guidelines

This is a W2 hourly contract position offering between $40-44 per hour. Comprehensive health insurance is available, supporting your well-being while you support your students.
